CID – The Italian Detox Improvement Consortium
Environmental sustainability within companies of the fashion system chain
Eco-friendly textile is the new product in Prato. CID – The Italian Detox Improvement Consortium handles environmental sustainability within companies of the fashion system chain.
It was created on July 2016, first and only in the world, as a reaction of some companies of Prato textile district to a challenge launched by Greenpeace: remove harmful substances to humans and polluting for the environment by clothing.
Thanks to analysis, studies, research and passion of some businessman today we can say that an eco-friendly fashion is possible.
Embark on a path of improvement toward the removal of many chemical substances, remaining faithful to the transparency of the Detox Greenpeace campaign, it could be difficult – if not impossible – for many companies; but thanks to the Consortium team work, which provides constant support to each member company, including training and refresher courses, it was possible for all the members to reach important milestones in a short time.
